10 Favorites May 3-9, 2015 + Giant Woman

This week, Inga had us do some figure drawing in her class using shape and line. We drew a nearly life-sized figure on 3'*6' paper in Owen's over the course of 2 hours. On Wednesday we had the option to do another, but I just did 20 minute studies. 10 minutes to draw and 10 minutes to PUSH!

Also these dooodles are by Brandon, and I think the one with the hammer is Anna? It looks like her style. I'm not sure what that blobby thing is...

 1/5 minute poses. This week is feet to go with the hands. Then we did some exercises to help incorporate the story into the gesture. Brandon Louie is a menace to newsprint everywhere!...you have been warned.

This week we worked on emulating one of our favorite artists. I chose Glen Vilppu because he has a good sense of gesture. Also because I don't know many artists... ;;; 1/5/10 minutes. Also a cat head.

Long story short: there was a series of events preventing either me or my teacher from attending class at alternating times, so I missed figure drawing for about two weeks.

These are 1/5/10 minutes (I think...?) the doodles are Brandon and Anna... but I'm not sure where the dog is from?

A rare 30 second appears, followed by 1/5/10 minutes. The Attack on Titan lookalikes at the bottom are an exercise in pushing the gesture. Lots of fun!

1/2/5/10 minutes and a bonus 20 minute painting again! This one's not as good, but I like how the light shapes came out. uvu We practiced drawing with crayon (which doesn't take well to the newsprint ;;; ) and ballpoint pen (my favorite! *v*).

1/5 minute poses, the set under those are either drawn upside down or with two hands simultaneously. It was a fun excercise, and I think they show I am capable of loosening-up. We also did turnarounds and collaborations in class (between 3-4 semi-random students) it was fun!

GAH THERE ARE SPIDERS ON MY PAPE--wait a minute... curse those hooligans Anna and Brandon are at it again!
